What Homeowners Can Expect At These Meetings

Board of Directors Meetings

The Block X Board of Directors meets on a monthly basis to review and conduct Association business. These meetings are open to all Homeowners, and you can come and go as you please. The meetings begin with a Homeowner's Forum, in which Homeowner issues can be brought to the Board's attention. If you have an issue, you can submit it for inclusion in the agenda. Following the open forum, the Board gets down to business as detailed in the published Agenda. Homeowner's should note that these are working meetings, and are not meant to be presentations per se. These meetings tend to be long, detailed, and filled with debate amongst Board Members, eventually leading to a motion and Board vote on a specific course of action for each issue. Opening the doors to Homeowners is part of the Board's ongoing commitment to operate transparently for the benefit of all Homeowners.

Town Hall Meetings

On a quarterly basis, or as the situation warrants, the Block X Board of Directors may call a Town Hall Meeting. These meetings are open to all Homeowners. During these meetings, the Board may present a summary of accomplishments and decisions made to date, and may even dedicate the meeting to address specific issues facing the Association that may benefit from direct Homeowner input and discussion. All Homeowners should definitely plan on attending the Town Hall Meetings.

Annual Meeting

In and around mid-December of each year, the Board of Directors calls the Annual Meeting to order. The Annual meeting is open to all Homeowners. The Annual Meeting typically consists of; The State Of The Union Report, Treasurer's Annual Report, Adoption Of Next Year's Budget, and the Election Of Board Members To Fill Vacant Positions. All Homeowners should definitely plan on voting and attending the Annual Meetings.

Social Events

The Block X Board of Directors, as well as individual Homeowners, may occasionally organize social events to bring members of our community together. In the past we've seen "Wine & Cheese Fridays" on summer eves, "Fall Campfires", "Neighbor Barbecues", "Children's Play Groups" and more. The park-like courtyard provides the perfect venue for community gatherings. If you'd like to take the lead in organizing a social event or community gathering, let us know.
